Dr Kok Wai Leong has clinical interests in eczema, psoriasis, allergies and skin cancers. He is able to treat children and adult general dermatology conditions, perform skin surgery as well as cosmetic and laser procedures. He is well versed in the treatment of difficult inflammatory and immunological skin conditions, as well as the use of biologic therapy and phototherapy.

Prior to joining private practice, Dr Kok was a Visiting Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and at the Singapore National Skin Centre. He was also a Visiting Consultant at National Skin Centre and the Department of Dermatology, Singapore General Hospital. He is also a Board member of the Chapter of Dermatologists, College of Physicians Singapore and Executive Committee Member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore.

Dr Kok has also accrued accolades in service excellence and clinical quality, which is testament to his commitment to building strong doctor-patient relationships. He is known to deliver personalised treatment which is tailored to the needs of the individual.

Dr Kok has a keen interest in clinical research and his work has been presented in regional and international meetings. He has scientific publications in distinguished peer-reviewed journals, and is a reviewer for international journals. He was a clinical tutor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University and has received an award in teaching, in recognition of his efforts in education.

He is also keenly involved in the occupational aspect of skin diseases, since work and health is intricately intertwined. He is a medical assessor at the Civil Aviation Medical Board, as well as a visiting consultant dermatologist at the Singapore Armed Forces Military Medicine Institute.

Within the Singapore Armed Forces he held various staff and command appointments. He served as Commanding Officer of the Medical Response Force, and was involved in the medical support for COVID-19. In recognition of his efforts, he was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) (COVID-19). He was deployed in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions and continues to contribute as an active NSman.

Dr Kok is a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore, the Chapter of Dermatology, College of Physicians (Singapore), Asian Society of Paediatric Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, Singapore Medical Association and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Dermatology).
